1. User security is our top priority
Cover-Discount GmbH respects the privacy of users of the website and online shop. These data protection regulations form the basis for the processing of personal data and provide information about what type of user data is collected by Cover-Discount.ch and how Cover-Discount.ch uses this data. Cover-Discount.ch complies with applicable data protection laws and processes personal data solely for the purposes for which the data was transmitted.
These data protection regulations are adapted, supplemented or changed from time to time. The most current, retrievable version applies each time the website is accessed or visited.
2. Type of data collected
When visiting the Cover-Discount.ch website, statistical visitor data is collected about which parts of the website are visited most frequently by the respective user. For example, data relating to the browser, operating system, weblogs and other connection data used by the user may be collected, regardless of whether their collection is necessary for our or other purposes. In this context, it is sometimes necessary to use so-called cookies. This collected data does not contain any personal reference or is sufficiently anonymized so that no conclusions can be drawn about you.
Cover-Discount.ch does not automatically collect personal data from users such as name, address, telephone number or email address. An exception to this is information that the user voluntarily sends to Cover-Discount.ch by filling out website forms or contacting Cover-Discount.ch in another way via the website.
3. Use of cookies
Cover-Discount.ch can use cookies to continuously improve the website for users. Cookies are small pieces of software information that are stored by browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox) on the user's computer hard drive to make using the website easier (e.g. language selection, shopping cart, etc.). These cookies are completely anonymized and do not contain any personal data. At no time is spy software installed or used to access data and information stored on the computer.
Most browsers accept such cookies automatically, but browsers can be configured so that they do not accept or save cookies. Details can be found in the user manual or the browser's help function.
4. Use of data
The anonymized data recorded using cookies when the Cover-Discount.ch website is accessed can be used for analysis purposes, to optimize the website and to measure performance. Cover-Discount.ch can use the following third-party providers for this purpose, some of which have their own data protection regulations over which Cover-Discount.ch has no influence:
Google Analytics (data protection)
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (www.google.de). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of your use of the website, such as so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer. The information generated about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymization on this website, the IP address is shortened before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
You can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Google Adwords (data protection)

Any personal data exchanged in this context is used exclusively to be able to offer Profity permanently, securely and reliably (legal basis according to GDPR, if and to the extent applicable: Art. 6 Para. 1 Letters b and f GDPR). 6. Hotjar
This website uses the web analysis service of the following provider: Hotjar Ltd, Level 2, St Julians Business Centre, 3, Elia Zammit Street, St Julians STJ 1000, Malta
Using cookies and/or comparable technologies (tracking pixels, web beacons, algorithms for reading device and browser information), the service collects and stores pseudonymized visitor data, including information about the device used, such as the IP address and browser information, in order to evaluate it for statistical analyses of usage behavior on our website and to create pseudonymized usage profiles. Among other things, this makes it possible to evaluate movement patterns (so-called heat maps), which show the duration of page visits and interactions with page content (e.g. text input, scrolling, clicks and mouse-overs). Pseudonymization fundamentally excludes direct personal reference. There is no merging with clear data about you collected in other ways.
All processing described above, in particular the reading or saving of information on the device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a of GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

Detailed information on this and on the credit agencies used can be found in Powerpay's data protection provisions. Powerpay uses the information obtained on the statistical probability of a payment default to make a balanced decision on the establishment, execution or termination of the contractual relationship.
Powerpay may also use third-party tools to detect and prevent fraud. Data obtained with these tools may be stored by third parties in encrypted form so that they can only be read by Powerpay. This data is only used if you select a payment method from our co-operation partner Powerpay, otherwise the data expires automatically after 30 minutes.
You can revoke your consent to Powerpay at any time. However, Powerpay may still be authorised to process, use and transfer your personal data if this is necessary or legally required for contractual payment processing or ordered by a court or authority.

Unfortunately, the transmission of data over the Internet is not absolutely secure. Cover-Discount.ch works with service providers and Internet providers who take appropriate technical and organizational security precautions to protect users' personal data. However, Cover-Discount.ch cannot guarantee the security of the data transmitted by the user. Any data transfer is therefore at your own risk.
