How to Identify Your iPad Model

Method 1: Find Your iPad Model Name
- Open the Settings app on your iPad.
- Tap General.
- Select About.
- Under Model Name, you will see the exact name of your iPad.
Method 2: Find Your iPad Model Number
For precise identification, we recommend checking the model number:
- Open Settings → General → About.
- Tap the displayed Model Number.
- The number will change to a code beginning with the letter A (for example, A3355).
- Compare this code with the table below to identify your iPad model exactly.
Find the Model Number on the Back of Your iPad
Many iPad models also have the model number printed on the back of the device. You can find it in small text below the word "iPad". This method is especially useful if your device no longer turns on.
